Being an Artist (ages 5-8)

Art lessons that introduce drawing, painting, printmaking and 3D art help to build visual skills, motor skills and art history. Children will explore the use of markers, chalk, oil pastels paint and a variety of sculptural materials. Students will learn about line, shape, texture, color, value & space while encouraging personal expression and creativity. 

Thursday: 4:00-5:00
$300 - Fall Semester (12 weeks)
$450 - Spring Semester (18 weeks)

Dürer to Warhol (ages 7-12)

Students study the lives of artists, art movements, and periods in art history as well as current artists. Students will express themselves through different mediums and techniques as they learn about the artist and their time in history. Students will use a variety of mediums including marker, watercolor, acrylics, collage, pastels, ink, clay, and mixed media. All materials included!

studio art (ages 13+)

Designed for the high school student whose one art class just isn't enough! The students will be learning different techniques and mediums  while working on units in Drawing and Painting, 3D design/sculpture, metalworking/jewelry and printmaking. All materials included.

Monday: 4:30-6:00

metalworking i & ii (Ages 10+)

Students will explore and learn about jewelry design, wire work, composition, metalwork, and mixed media pieces. Metalworking I focuses on the process and finishing of jewelry making to set the foundation for more advanced jewelry making. Projects include sawing, stamping, piercing, folding, forging, cold connections and  more! Metalworking II students will refine their composition and design work using previous skills learned, such as wire work, cold connections, bezel work and mixed media work. As always workmanship and professional presentation is stressed. Students will complete this class with beautiful, original designs.
