Do you have a favorite pair of jeans or shirt you just can’t part with? Have you wanted to give visible mending a try but aren’t sure where to start? Using a few simple embroidery stitches and techniques, turn your favorite well worn garment into a wearable work of art. Learn the difference between an “inside” and an “outside” patch, how to tackle those not so easy areas (crotch?!), and how to tell a story with your stitching. Not only will you extend the life of your clothing, but visible mending can also be very meditative, a time to sit and reflect, to slow down your day.
